Our Story
To start, we played to
our strengths.
HILO HOME IMPROVEMENT INC began as an assembled-in-the-US kitchen company. Using materials from global sources, we built made-to-order cabinets in our small Jersey City warehouse.
Then, like today, our goal was to produce the best product we could. The years were good to us. Despite our explosive growth into the semi custom market, we keep making good on that same goal: build the best.
2009
In the dust of the Great Recession, JoelEpstein establishes HILO HOME IMPROVEMENT INC as a startupcabinet maker with 40 employees.
2011
HILO HOME IMPROVEMENT INC leans into automation and tech,delivering greater quality and speed thanits 123,000 sq. ft. footprint suggests.
2013
4 years after founding, HILO HOME IMPROVEMENT INC seesmultistate brand recognition, growingconsumer trust, and rapid companyexpansion.
